LOCAL COMPETITION & TOURNAMENT

Inter-School Snooker Championship 2026

Objectives To encourage students who are keen on billiards sports to compete with each other to improve their skills, develop team spirit and promote exchange of learning and ideas among them.
Event Date 19th, 20th, 27th September, 3rd, 4th, 10th, 17th, 18th, 25th, 31st October, 1st, 8nd November 2026

(Saturday, Sunday & Public Holiday)

Venue Shun Lee Tsuen Sports Centre 33, Shun Lee Tsuen Road, Kwun Tong, Kowloon
Eligibility Only application by full-day or half day primary school or secondary school in Hong Kong will be accepted. Application by individuals will not be accepted.

Total 3 events: Individual (Primary), Individual (Secondary) & Team.

Individual (Primary) Each school may enroll up to 2 players (Mixed gender is acceptable).

Individual (Secondary) Each school may enroll up to 2 players (Mixed gender is acceptable).

Team     Each school may enroll up to 2 teams (2-4 players in each team, mixed-gender is acceptable) , but only up to 1 Junior Elite Athlete may participate in each team (HKSI Junior Elite Athletes are only allowed to participate in this event)

* HKBSCC reserves the rights to re-set groups or players quota depending on actual numbers of participant.

Entry Fee HK$200 per school
Registration Method
  1. Each school may apply for 1 to 3 events. A player may participate in both 【Individual】 and 【Team】
  2. Applicant should complete the enrollment form and deliver a crossed cheque (payable to “BILLIARD SPORTS COUNCIL OF HONG KONG CHINA LIMITED”) for the entry fee. Please submit the form and cheque by post or personal delivery to the office of HKBSCC, which address is Room 1027, Olympic House, 1 Stadium Path, So Kon Po, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong.       *(Register in office hour : Monday to Friday)
  1. Administration fee HK$100 shall be charged if the check is dishonoured.
Registration Deadline 4th September 2026 (Friday)  *Applications by mail will be based on the date of the postmark.
The draw will be displayed / announced after 16th September 2026 (Wednesday) in the above-mentioned venue and HKBSCC Website. HKBSCC will also notify all participating school for the draw by email but will not notify the players individually.

[Primary]: Highest Break Award (40 or above): $1,000 and a trophy
Remark: The highest break achieved in the Team Event will be admitted to the respective category (Primary/Secondary) to which the participant belongs.

 

Rules &

Regulations

1. The Championship applies the Rules and Regulation of IBSF
2.The Championship will be in Knock-Out System or Round-Robin System, which will be announced with further details
3.Players must dress school uniform properly (Trousers, shirt/T-shirt and leather shoes), otherwise the players will be disqualified. If the school uniform is shorts, players should wear trousers, or if the school d
.oes not have a required uniform, players or female players should wear Trousers, shirt/T-shirt and leather shoes. HKBSCC reserves the rights to disqualify any player who dresses improperly.
4. HKBSCC reserves the rights of re-scheduling the matches and the Championship may be postponed or cancelled depending on the circumstances.
5. No change of schedule allowed after the draw has been completed, unless with approval from the Tournament Sub-Committee.
6. Players may appeal to the Tournament Director or Chief Referee against the decision of the Referee in the match. The Tournament Sub-Committee’s decision is the final decision, no further appeal is allowed

Reporting Any player who is late for reporting will lose ONE frame and if late for 15 minutes will lose the Match and entry fee will be forfeited.
Re-scheduling If Hong Kong Observatory has issued typhoon signal no. 8 or above 2 hours before or during an event, the event will be cancelled. The re-arrangement of the event will be announced afterward.
Remarks Any injury to players shall be the responsibility of their own school. HKBSCC shall not have any responsibilities
HKBSCC reserves the final rights to accept or refuse anyone to participate in this event.
HKBSCC reserves the rights to amend or supplement if there are any imperfections in this information
If there are less than 10 players in any event, the event may be cancelled.
