Snooker Badge Scheme 2026/27

 

Objective： Applying common standards and multiple competency assessments (practical skills, rules proficiency and professional technical knowledge) to evaluate a player’s level.  The Scheme aims to encourage participation and identify talented players to be trained for the Hong Kong Snooker Team.
Eligibility： ~Aged 8 or above and holder of Hong Kong Identity Document (all genders).

~In possession of basic level of snooker skills.
Quota： 70 participants (On a first-come, first-served basis)
Date & Time： 2nd August 2026 (Sunday)

10:00a.m. – 6:00p.m.
Venue： Cyle Snooker

Certification： 《Gold》Certificate: 18 points or above

《Silver》Certificate: 15–17 points

《Bronze》Certificate: 9–14 points       * Applicants scoring lower than 9 points will not be awarded any certificate.
Levels： Red Ball Level 1, Red Ball Level 2, Yellow Ball Level 1, Yellow Ball Level 2,Green Ball Level 1, Green Ball Level 2
Content： ~Technical Assessment: 5 exercises in total, with 3 attempts allowed for each exercise.

~Test Questions: 6 questions in total, covering technical skills, rules, and etiquette.
Duration： Approximately 30 minutes
Fee： HK$300 per assessment test (Maximum of 1 assessment level per participant)
Application：
  1. Submit the completed application form together with the assessment fee by mail or in person to HKBSCC.  Please state “2026/27 Snooker Badge Scheme” on the envelope.Payment should be made by a crossed cheque payable to “Billiard Sports Council of Hong Kong China Limited” or deposited into HKBSCC bank account (Hang Seng Bank: 395-017171-001, BSCOHKC Ltd).
  2. The assessment time slot will be announced 10 working days after the application deadline via E-mail.  No change of schedule will be allowed.
  3. Applicant will not be allowed to change his/her application to other persons or to seek refund of assessment fee or any part thereof after his/her application is submitted.
  4. If there is an overwhelming number of applicants, assessments may be arranged on alternative dates or at other venues.

Remarks：
  1. f Hong Kong Observatory has issued typhoon signal no. 8 or above 2 hours before or during an event, the event will be cancelled. The re-arrangement of the event will be announced afterward.
  2. HKBSCC reserves the rights to amend or supplement if there are any imperfections in this information.
