The Unsung Masters Trailer

The “Hong Kong Masters 2022” held at the Hong Kong Coliseum last year received widespread acclaim. The success of the event was made possible by the efforts and contributions of many individuals. The documentary film “The Unsung Masters” aims to provide an insight on the original objectives behind organizing this tournament and to foster a deeper understanding of billiard sports in Hong Kong.
Hong Kong billiard sports as an elite sport in the Sports Institute is currently facing the threat of relegation. With the confirmation that billiard sports will not be included in the 2026 Nagoya Asian Games, the situation has become even more critical. This documentary seeks to let the public know about the current challenges facing Hong Kong billiard sports, how the billiard sports community respond in times of adversity, and raise the question on long-term development of a sport for the viewers to think about.
The Hong Kong billiards documentary “The Unsung Masters” will premiere on YouTube at 4:00p.m. on 18 August. Stay tuned for it!
